The Bata Shoe Museum had a collection of celebrity shoes in two sections. One was for pop culture celebrities and the other was in their sports section with various sport footwear. Here are the ones I took. They are semi-decent shots. I was rushing since there were many people around me at times. 1) [...] Kpop celebrity endorsements are all over Seoul. Well at least the places in Seoul I went to. Everywhere you go there is some sort of advertisement of a celebrity trying to convince you to purchase soju, cellphones, eye creme, etc. There were many around but I took a picture with a life-size version of Kim [...] When we were in the sushi restaurant at the Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo, we encountered a very enthusiastic Japanese man. He was one of the chefs there and was preparing our sushi for us. If you’ve ever watched those Japanese shows where the guests, MCs, and/or audience members have overly exaggerated surprised reactions to [...] Kyoto had some of the best traditional snacks, and they make great souvenirs. We mostly just had yatsuhashi. We brought back a bunch as souvenirs but I’m tempted to eat them all for myself. At once stand that we were stocking up at I took a picture with an Otabe-chan statue.
