One of the things we really wanted to do on our trip to Yukon & the Northwest Territories (NWT) was to drive the Dempster Highway. Since we didn’t have a car of our own we had to rent one and since Dawson City doesn’t have a car rental agency we decided to start at the end of the Dempster Highway in Inuvik and drive back towards Dawson City. To get to Inuvik to do this we flew from Whitehorse, which was amazing. It was really amazing to see what we would be driving through with aerial views before travelling through on ground. Here are the shots I took while on the flight, which aren’t the best quality but are still cool to see.
The first shot is while we were flying over the Tombstone Mountains Park. In the second shot you can see the Dempster Highway along the winding river. The third shot is another set of mountains in the NWT side and the final shot is of NWT while we were landing in Inuvik.
