The good thing about staying in Old Montréal was being right by the Notre-Dame Basilica. It is a pleasant sight to see while walking around. There was construction going on right in front of it, which made it hard to take pictures of it. I couldn’t get a full view shot without the stupid fence getting in the way. This is the best I could do.
I didn’t get any shots of the interior because you had to pay to go into. From my Christian perspective I didn’t agree with paying admission to see a church. If it truly is a house of God then it should be open for anyone to enter into. I don’t see how it is any different than the money changers at the temple with whom Jesus became angry with for defiling God’s house. It is one thing to ask for a donation to keep up the facilities, but to demand money for admission is unacceptable in my opinion. That’s my two cents on the matter.
