Love Me Tender

I’m reliving my past by listening to some old school Jrock music. It all started when my sister put on 魔弾 [Der Freischutz] by T.M.Revolution and the flood of memories poured back. Man, the PV for that song was hilarious. I must find it again…I’m sure I’ve saved it away on one of my back-up CDs (yes, my computer is so old I can’t burn DVDs -_-). In the meantime I found it on youtube. YES!!!

But anyway, I really wish L’arc En Ciel, Dir En Grey and/or Gackt would come to Toronto and perform. I don’t care how much the tickets would be, I’ll be damned if I missed them. I’m squeeing inside just thinking about going to one of their concerts. I know they have all performed in the U.S. at some point during their careers, but I’m not sure if they’ve ever come to Canada. Man…I only wish. In the meantime I can listen to this Old School Jrock playlist I made. T_T

For those of you on myspace who love Laruku, you will be happy to know that they have created their very own Official L’arc En Ciel Myspace page. I’m not on myspace, so I cannot enjoy. Well I could make an account, but I have enough accounts over the interweb already. =P

My sister sent me a text a couple of days ago (at 11:56am too! Four minutes to spare =P) saying that L’arc En Ciel were going to have a concert in Canada. I was so excited that it didn’t even occur to me that it could be an April Fools Day prank…and sadly it was. I was so upset to find out that it wans’t true, especially since I spent ten minutes on the net looking for their Canada tour date before she sent me another text saying it was a prank. So sad…I wish that they would come to play in Toronto. I would die happy. At least the prank made my day…until I found out it was a lie. =P

So I wasn’t the only one to get pranked. Girl’s Generation/소녀시대 leader Tae Yoen bawled her eyes out on camera when she was met with cold shoulders from her peers at her highschool where Girl’s Generation were going to perform. She later found out it was a prank. Poor girl…some of the pranks that Korean shows do are really mean. I like pranks where people get scared…like some random person jumping out from a garbage can as someone walks by. Those are funny. These are just gut wrenching. Ick! I was so excited when I read that L’arc en Ciel were going to have a world tour in 2008, but my hopes were shattered when I found out that the only country not located in East Asia is France. What kind of a world tour is that?! I was really hoping they would come to Canada.
