I’ve been wondering how I should glamour up for these upcoming concerts - mostly Polysics and Dir en Grey because who the hell cares what I look like for Jay Chou. I still need to figure out what to wear to the first two but at least I know how I will do my makeup for Polysics. I tried out a version of it last night and it looks pretty awesome.

This is a look called Chock-Ful by MAC Cosmetics. This look is part of their “Cult of Cherry” line of looks. Isn’t it fun? If you want to know what products in particular you need to create this look you can read about it here. I haven’t actually been to a concert like how the Polysics of DEG concerts will be so I’m hoping that the makeup won’t melt off my face by the end of the night. It might add to the effect though, especially for DEG. =D

YES! YES! YES! Finally someone I can go see in my own backyard. DEG is coming to Toronto on November 16! I’m so excited. Here is their full North American tour schedule:

DIR EN GREY NORTH AMERICAN TOUR SCHEDULE FOR 2008

[edit]
For those intended to go to the Toronto show at Kool Haus, you can get your tickets from Ticketmaster (they go on sale Aug 15 at 10am) or from Dir En Grey Intl (but you have to sign up). There is also a Montreal show for the fans in Quebec. Is anyone as excited as I am? =D

Old School Jrock

I’m reliving my past by listening to some old school Jrock music. It all started when my sister put on 魔弾 [Der Freischutz] by T.M.Revolution and the flood of memories poured back. Man, the PV for that song was hilarious. I must find it again…I’m sure I’ve saved it away on one of my back-up CDs (yes, my computer is so old I can’t burn DVDs -_-). In the meantime I found it on youtube. YES!!!

But anyway, I really wish L’arc En Ciel, Dir En Grey and/or Gackt would come to Toronto and perform. I don’t care how much the tickets would be, I’ll be damned if I missed them. I’m squeeing inside just thinking about going to one of their concerts. I know they have all performed in the U.S. at some point during their careers, but I’m not sure if they’ve ever come to Canada. Man…I only wish. In the meantime I can listen to this Old School Jrock playlist I made. T_T
