Ok, so I was procrastinating again and I decided to look at my hit list. Firstly I was surprised in the increased number of hits I’ve been gradually accumulating. Secondly, I was blown away by the number of people who are coming here from here. Someone had asked where they could find information about the 2008 Korean Music Festival and someone directed them to my previous post, 6th Annual Korean Music Festival - Hollywood Bowl 2008. I didn’t know people actually came here AND recommended my site to others. I’m flattered.

So, I now feel obligated to post an update on the concert. Here is the current list of artists who are going to perform. Korea Times would only announce three artists at a time for a few weeks. Those evil bastards! How dare they make us wait. Haha…oh marketing…it’s so evil. >=D

  1. Fly To The Sky (Brian…I can’t see you T_T)
  2. Lee Hyori
  3. Chae Yeon
  4. Choi Baek Ho
  5. DBSK/TVXQ (Those lucky fans!)
  6. Eru + Tae Jin Ah (They’re joined at the hip so I put them together)
  7. Jung Hoon Hee
  8. Kim Se Hwan
  9. Lee Minwoo (M)
  10. Moon Hee Jun
  11. Ock Ju Hyun
  12. SG Wannabe (Will this be with the replacement member?)
  13. Shin Joong Hyun
  14. Sohn Ho Young
  15. So Nyeo Shi Dae (SNSD)/Girl’s Generation
  16. Super Junior T(I thought they were retired o_O)
  17. Wonder Girls (click here to find out why)
  18. Yun Hyung Joo

Here is some additional information just for the fun of it.

Visit this Soompi thread for more information. They give you more detailed info about travelling to the concert, the concert itself, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Since I’m not going to the concert *tear* I didn’t want to depress myself by reposting all that stuff here. So click away.

Why Koreans Should Look Up The Meanings of English Lyrics

Have you ever watched a Korean show (usually variety shows) where they are playing, singing along to, or dancing to songs that just make you go O_O!!! Well I have. It’s amusing but at the same time you know they would be mortified if they really knew what the lyrics meant. Well, this clip reminded me of that. Don’t watch it if you want to maintain your virgin ears.

Is that a real song?

I thought this was amusing. Two British guys (Adam and Joe, obviously) are in Tokyp, Japan telling us all the things about the Japanese. It’s obviously ridiculously bias and essentializing, but it’s all in the name of entertainment. Hence, take it with a grain of salt. And on to the videos!

There are more episodes, but I’m sure you’re smart enough to find them on youtube

Korean Myths

As I was procrastinating by reading this blog, I found myself enjoying a particular post called Korean Myth Buster. I found it entertaining enough to repost it here.

Fan Death
Yes, you read that right. In Korea people believe that fans are capable of killing people during the night in three ways: hypothermia, suffocation or poisoning. Apparently fans can suck the air from your face creating a vacuum which can suffucate you while you’re sleeping. Hypothermia supposedly occurs because of the fan dramatically lowering your body temperature if it’s blowing directly on you. Carbon Dioxide poisoning occurs because of the fan displacing the oxygen in the room.

I still can’t believe people think this is true. Fans come especially equipped with timers so that you don’t accidently off yourself while you slumber.
