NYC Bound!

The ranking results came in today, and I'm matched with Lehman Brothers, which is in NYC. This should be good.

So what have I been up to recently... Well, it's a mix of studying and slacking off. I study for a bit, then slack off for a bit. I just finished writing the second stats 332 quiz today, and I think it went well. I have CS 370 midterm tomorrow, and I seriously have no idea how to study for it. It's open book, so I do think it's gonna be quite tough. o_o;

I went out with some friends on Friday night, for my birthday. We went ot Mongolian Grill for dinner, and I had my first beer in about a month. heh. All in all good times. But now it's time for more cramming! Go school!

Wet and Cold

My family up this weekend, and we went to St. Jacob's. We bought some food from teh Farmer's Market, and my mom bought a new back-scratcher. =P

I got some tulips for Ams at St. Jacob's, and she liked it. ^_^ It was quite a walk to her house on Saturday too! It was cold and raining, and Ams called my cell but I had umbrella in one hand and flowers in another... I did manage answer the cell though. heh.

My bday is coming up... but I dunno what I want to do yet. =\

You know you're in CS when...

...You spend 40 hours of your weekend sitting in a computer lab.

I skipped all of my lectures today cuz I was too tired. I actually went to my stats 331 tutorial (for the first time this term), because there's a midterm this thursday, and I thought we might be doing some review today. When I got there I saw that it was the TA, not the prof.. and he cannot speak English! As soon as he said that we were not doing review I got up and left. =P

Off to a good start!

I got my first set of marks back for this term. 86% on my stats 332 quiz and 96% on my CS 370 assignment. I'm actually a little bit disappointed on my quiz mark because I lost most of the marks due to my laziness... I didn't write out sentences in full because I don't like writing, so I got marks off for leaving out some important words. Oops. So now I just gotta keep it up, and maybe study a little harder to push my marks up.

I'm going home for the Thanksgiving weekend. This will be the first time I've been back in a month. It will be nice to see the family, and play on the piano. But I will miss my PC =(. hehe

Work is piling up!

I'm starting to feel it now... the inevitableness of falling behind on my school work. I have a quiz on Monday for stats 332 and an assignment due the following day for stats 331. CS 370 assignment is due on the 13th and OS assignment is due on the 17th. I'm going to try and get as high as I can on this first stats quiz. It's worth 10% of my final mark, so that's quite a lot.

I haven't started on the 331 assignment yet, but I will try to have something by the end of tomorrow. It'll be good practice too, since some of the things in 331 and 332 overlap, they just have different terms for everything (which is a bit confusing @_@). I going to worry about 370 after thanksgiving, but I should probably get a good start on the OS assignment before the thanksgiving weekend.

And on top of all that I have to do co-op stuff... it seriously is like having a 6th course! =(
