Last Two Weeks of Wow

mood:
listening to: Gackt - Love Letter
My subscription runs out August 5th and I'm not renewing because I need to work on my work report, and I want to get some other things done as well. One of those things is to make a new layout for this blog. I'm pretty tired of the current one, but I just haven't felt like sitting down and making a new layout yet. I've started a few layouts... and I might use one of them. We'll see what happens =).

Cherry Picking, Niagara on the Lake, ...

mood:
listening to: Sum 41 - Pieces
I went cherry picking with my family and Ams yesterday. We left at 7:30 AM and got there around 8:30. It was humid and rainy... so it wasn't the best weather to pick cherries. But hey, it's still better than a hot sunny day. =P

It was fun up until the point when the rain really started to come down (not hard... but constant rain). My dad wanted to fill the baskets up all the way cuz they charge by basket not by the amount of cherries. So yeah... we even picked when it started to rain. It was okay though... now we have a lot of cherries to munch on. hahaha

We went to Niagara on the Lake afterwards. My parents and my grandpa did their own thing and the "kids" (Grace, Joyce, Ams and I) did our own thing. The first thing we did was eat brunch! I had the hungry man breakfast. It was very filling... ah :). hehe. We also went to some shops around town. A lot of rich ppl vacationing in town... And I bought a pack of the Harry Potter jelly bellies from a candy store. I had some already... and yes, I got the vomit one.. it was disgusting and I wanted to vomit. lol

I like spending time with my family like that.. and I especially love doing things like that with Ams. Next term I'll remember to take a trip to St. Jacobs for their farmer's market with Ams! =)

I also went to Andrew's house later last night. It was his b-day on Friday, so I guess it was sorta a b-day get-together thing. Peter drove me there, and Neeraj was already there. Marvin came afterwards, and we just chilled. Got Swiss Chalet for dinner and just played video games... ah, I haven't played any video game besides WoW for a long time. =P

Portico Community Church

mood:
listening to: K-OS - Crabbuckit
I got a drive from Peter to the Portico Community Church (I think that's what it was called). It's the church that Francy and James started going to. Tina also went today, as well as two of James' friends. The church kinda reminds me of the Community Church in Waterloo, but they actually have pews instead of just chairs =P. We ate at Marché in Square One afterwards, cuz Francy had to go back after church. The message was about work and rest... yes, I do need more rest.. haha.. j/k, I'm doing fine =).

I'm downloading Gundam Seed episode 38 right now... can't wait! Sugoi!!

Golfing with Cube Route

mood:
listening to: Gackt - Metamorphoze
I went golfing with the company I'm working at for this co-op term yesterday. It was my first time golfing so I was pretty nervous... and I imaged golfing to be very boring. Golfing isn't too bad actually... but 18 holes was a little too much. It took more than 4 hours for my team to finish the course.

I got to talk to people I don't usually get to at work, so that was good. The only complaint I have is that the sun was too bright. My arms got tanned, and they're a little red too >_<.

Canada Day Weekend

mood:
listening to: nothing

I went to Ottawa with Ams, Grace and Joyce for the Canada Day Weekend. Ams stayed over at my place on Thursday night, and we left for Ottawa at 5:45 AM. We caught a greyhound bus at 7 AM, and it took 5 hours to get to Ottawa. We took a taxi to the Embassy Hotel, where we stayed at for the weekend. It was a really nice hotel, but one of the elevators broke... so we had to go with just once, and that made it very slow.

We got lunch at the Blue Cactus bar and grill. We had to wait about 15-20 mins to get seats, so we sat at the bar and ordered some drinks. =P

We missed the parade and a bunch of events on Friday cuz we were still on the bus at the time. But we did get to watch the Evening show at Parliment Hill. We left the show early to go across the bridge to Hull for the fireworks. (the view there is better) I had major allergies that night, but I forgot to bring allergy pills and all the stores were closed at the time... so I just had to bear with it >_<. We got dinner at Zak's Diner and headed back to the hotel at 12:30 AM.

We woke up relatively early on Saturday (at around 9 AM?) and headed to China Town... mostly because we wanted to check the time for Ottawa Chinese Christian Church, but also so I can go to pharmacy and get some allergy pills. We ate at a cafe for breakfast, and I had a nice fatty BLT bagel sandwich =P. We stopped at a park on our way to China Town.

After China Town we went to the War Museum, which was still under construction when I was in Ottawa last co-op term. Stayed there for a good 2 hours or so, then went off to the Museum of Civilization, in Hull/Gatineau. (it was $6 for students for both museums)

Oh, did I mention that Saturday was such a nice day? Great weather! =)

We ate lunch at the Museum of Civ., but the cafe wasn't really operating, so we got some crappy sandwiches and stuff >_>...

Saturday night we ate at Kinki Restaurant... no, not "kinky"... Kinki is a city in Japan. It was pricey... but I enjoyed the food... and my drink (sake!!) hehe. All in all, we had a great time there.

After dinner, we were all pretty tired so we headed back to the hotel.

Sunday morning we ate at a diner for breakfast, and headed to church with our luggages (acutally, more like Ams' luggage =D) Saw some people there that I met during my co-op term last fall... Ams met her friend Josh, who she talks to online. And that's pretty much it.

I didn't want to go into too much details about the trip cuz that would be too long and I'm lazy. But a picture is worth 1000 words... So here are some pictures I took with my camera. Joyce took more, which I will upload later. Enjoy!
