Star Wars Concert

I went to the Star Wars concert last night at the Roy Thomson Hall. I was there with Grace, Meredith, Chris Trela, and Nigel. It was really really good... Star Wars has great music, and the TSO played them very nicely.

The actor that plays 3-CPO was there (Anthony Daniels). His voice isn't as annoying in person... I thought 3-CPO was pretty annoying... haha =P. There were a few ppl who dressed up in custom. My favourite song would be the main theme followed by Duel of the Fates (music playing in Episode One when the Jedis were fighting Darth Maul).

So I had a great time last night... got home a bit late, but hey it's almost weekend! ...which means Ottawa time! hehe

Spring Roll

I went downtown with Ams today. We mainly went to get greyhound tickets for the Canada Day weekend, but we also went to eat at a Thai/Asian restaurant called "Spring Roll" right across from Eaton Centre.

I had the grilled chicken w/ mango salad. It was delicious! I think it was a really nice restaurant, with Asian dishes that have a more modern twist to them... like Siu Mai with mustard (personally, I like them without better). The waitress we had was very nice. The food took a little while to get, but partly cuz they were busy... maybe I should go back at another time without so many ppl O_o.

Anyway, it was SOOO hot today. It is weather such as the one we had today that makes me hate summer. I mean, when it's so hot outside, you just wanna stay indoors... and isn't that just like winter? Except in winter you can just wear more to stay warm. What are you gonna do when it's way too hot? O_o

Incident at the Bank

Someone called from CIBC last night telling me I have to go in today to change my bank account (to student account). She said her name was "Amisha", but I thought she said "Michelle". So I went in today asking for Michelle, and this guy Michael asked me what my name was, so I told him. He then said he called for me last night, but he is seeing a client right now so I will have to wait a while. So 1.5 hour later he is finished, and I go in to do whatever needs to be done. Then he checks up a few things and told me that I'm actually suppose to see Amisha, not him @_@. So I had to wait another 30 mins before Amisha was done with her client. That was 2 hrs in total wasted at the bank. What made it worse was that Amisha had asked me if I was there to see her when she saw me waiting.. but I told her I was there to see Michael (cuz he told me so O_o).

Chick Raider

Today, one of our developers at Cube Route bid his farewell. He is leaving to become a consultant, and someday starting his own company. He was a really important part of Cube Route, which means that it'll be a bit hard for everyone to work without him.

We had a farewell lunch for him. He also sent an e-mail to everyone, thanking us for the time we had together... and leaving his e-mail address where we can contact him at. It was "chickraider@___". It was pretty funny, and everyone was surprised when they saw that e-mail. =P

So things might start picking up more at work... (like it's not busy enough already @_@). But I'm not complaining. Better to have lots of work than no work at all.

Course Enrollment

I got to pick my courses today. I really hate the new Quest system Waterloo has up. I put in my courses and click "submit" to enroll. Then it returns some COBOL error. So I tried to do it one at a time, but it still gave me the same error. Then for some reason a class was added! So I go to the next class, and it failed again... after a few tries that class got added as well. So every class took me a few tries to add. O_o

Anyway, here is my schedule for next term:

HOT HOT HOT !!

It's so hot! I just remembered how much I hate the hot summer weather. >_>

I was at Square One with Grace yesterday. We bought our dad a Father's Day present. It's an electric shaver from Braun. We already gave it to him cuz there really isn't much point waiting until Father's Day. He likes it, so that is good =).

We met up with Ams and Vanessa at Sq1. They were going around looking for dresses cuz Vanessa has to go to a wedding. I hate shopping with girls. Guys, you know what I'm talking about.... girls just can't figure out why we hate shopping with them. Anyway, I dragged them to see Star Wars afterwards. I told them, "You HAVE to see Star Wars". hehehe

Ams came to my church today. This would be the third time now. Joyce was leading singspiration today so I played piano for her. I must have been dehydrated or something, my eyes couldn't focus on the chords so I played the wrong ones sometimes >_>. umm. My thumb kinda hurts... maybe I played to hard, or maybe it was when I was fooling around and sliding my thumb on the piano keys.. O_O;
