Cool!
mood:
listening to: Luna Sea - I For You
If you run a Google search for "Jack Hsu", this blog is ranked 2 out of about 206,000 sites. I just thought that was pretty cool. I beat the story board artist "Jack Hsu"... who is ranked third. Take that! hehe... =P
And apparently my emoticons are pretty popular on the Internet. At least according to someone who has visited my page, and is on my MSN list. Well, it might just be with the anime crowd, but good enough. =) I guess this would be a motivation to make more? You'd think so right? Well, we'll see....

A life of regrets
mood:
listening to: Gackt - Metamorphoze
Have you ever looked back at your life and wondered what have you been doing with your life? Often times I'm disappointed at what I have or haven't, what I should have or shouldn't have, done. What I would have done and what I wouldn't have done if I had the chance to do it over again.
We all want to do our best. We all wish that we can live our lives without regret. However, that just won't happen. The truth is we can always do anything better. I don't believe in the saying, "I've done my best." What is your best? Why can't you do better? Is there really such a limit to your ablities that you know you can't do any better? Or is it just an excuse to be lazy, to underachieve?
I don't think the way to live life is to live in a way that you can say, "I've done the best I could, thus I have no regrets." But then again you don't want to live in a way that you keeping looking back and think, "I wish I could go back and do that better."
I guess the reason I'm thinking about these things is that I only have three more terms left in my undergrad career, and so far I'm not too proud of it. I could have done so much better if -- as the old saying goes -- I could do it all over again. I will try much harder this coming fall term. My mind-set going into my last three terms of school will be that I can always do better. I don't want the thought that I may have reached my limit allow me to become indolent.
Wish me luck.

Star Wars Episode III
mood:
listening to: Every Little Thing - Yura Yura
I saw the last SW film, Revenge of the Sith with Joyce and Wally. It was a lot better than I had expected. I would pay to watch it a few more times in the theatres =P. Of course there were a few cheesy lines in the movie... especially some of the conversations between Anakin and Padme. And I felt that Anakin's transition into the dark side could have been done a little bit better. Overall though, it was good.
So now I am back at home doing nothing... CSI comes on at 7 PM, so maybe I'll watch that. Work starts again tomorrow >_>... but at least it's only a 4 day work week, which will go by fast.

Trip to Harrow/Windsor
mood:
listening to: Gackt - white eyes
My family took a trip down to Harrow/Windsor this weekend. We left at 8 AM, and got there around 11 AM. We went to Point Pelee to hike, and my mom complained that it was very boring. Then we went to Calasanti, a garden. They sell plants and stuff there. I bought Ams a bamboo plant cuz she has told me how she wants one. We also bought some other plants for ourselves. There was also a zoo-ish thing there... they had animals, most of which you can pet. I saw so many bunnies there! =) And there were goats just roaming around the place.
We went to visit Grace's house parents for when she was working in Harrow for her co-op terms two years ago. They live by Lake Eerie.. and they have a huge backyard! It was really nice.
They prepared dinner for us on Saturday... a full course meal! We had some chicken tandoori (sp?) too =P. I wish my house is as nice as theirs. Later that night my parents went to Ben and Sara's house in Windsor while Grace, Joyce and I stayed at Harrow. We played Scrabble that night, and I won! I spelled "spurring" which was worth 86 points... hehe. I'll never get that high in Scrabble again.
We went to the Baptist church which Grace attended while she was in Harrow. Then afterwards we met up with my parents again... we had some bbq, and I was very full.
We had dinner with Ben's family at a Chinese restaurent in Windsor. We saw him and Sara's baby boy Elijah. He was very cute... nice cheeks and big eyes ^_^ and very very hyper. Once again I ate a lot. I think food was the theme for the weekend. hehe
I was very tired this weekend, probably because I didn't get enough rest (which builds up during the week). But now I am refreshed after a good night's sleep. =)

Bleh
mood:
listening to: L'arc~en~Ciel - Ready Steady Go
Ams came over for the weekend. We played Mario Kart on the GameCube... it was fun =). I brought her to church on Sunday, so this would be the second time she's been there. It was really fun. The weekend went by too fast though. They should make every weekend a 3-day weekend.
Speaking of 3-day weekends, next Monday is Victoria Day! Finally, a long weekend! hehe. My family is going down to Harrow/Windsor for the weekend. Will be back on Sunday... so I will have all of Monday to relax before going back to work on Tuesday.
I got my YesAsia order of "House of Fury" and "Fist of Fury" DVDs. The delivery was pretty speedy, which is good. I also bought an electric guitar off eBay... so that should be here in a week or two.

First Paycheque!
mood:
listening to: Gackt - Last Song
So I got paid yesterday. Now I can finally pay off some of my credit card debt.. hehe. I kept a few hundred in the bank just in case I need them. I'll pay off the rest of the debt with the next paycheque. =P
Woo... it's so nice to have some income again.

Fire Drill
mood:
listening to: Tackey & Tsubasa
We had a fire drill at work today. I work on the 15th floor... so that's 15 flights of stairs to walk down from!! O_O; Let's just say it wasn't that fun. The fire drill was only for floors 13-15, and there were quite a number of people there (even though there are some people who stayed behind cuz they wanted to do work). Just imagine what it would be like if there was a real fire...
It's Thursday again! The weeks just go by so fast when you're working, ne? The weekend is almost here again... 2 days without work! woohoo! =P

New Clothes!
mood:
listening to: Two-Mix - Last Impression
I went shopping at sq1 with Ams on Saturday. Okay, so I haven't actually gotten any money from work yet, but it's still fun to shop. hehe. I got two new pants, a few new shirts, and a new pair of shoes. I'm trying to get more clothes for the summer... and eventually I'll probably pick up a new suit too.
Work starts again tomorrow... And I also have to really get down to doing my homework for German 102. >_<

All better now (sorta)
mood:
listening to: Onitsuka Chihiro - Memei
I'm feeling much better now. My throat is still a little bit sore, but it's recovering.
I think the job I have this term will really help my job search in the future. I've already made three changes to their system that will be deployed tonight, and will affect their production servers starting tomorrow. It's pretty cool, cuz I've never put anything into production before... well, I've made the Ontario regions website for Water Survey last term, but that was just a internal website. The changes I made today will affect their clients. The only thing that sucks is the location. It definitely isn't like downtown Toronto or downtown Ottawa... but that's ok, this way I might save up more money. =P
Tomorrow is Friday! I can't wait until the weekend. That's the thing when I work... I look forward to the weekends. hehe

First Day of Work
mood:
listening to: Jolin Tsai - Say Love You
I had the biggest headache at work today. I'm gonna make sure to bring a lot of water tomorrow to work. To tell you the truth, I don't enjoy co-op terms. You spend most of your day at work, then you get a few hours to do what you like.... then you gotta sleep early cuz you have work the next day! I feel so constrained during work terms... school is much better. Not that I'm complaining about the $$$ though. =P
Hopefully I will get some good experience this term... Ottawa last fall term was really nice. I really would go back, if only the pay was higher. =\
