Happy Birthday to Me...

I'm 21 now! hehe... what a good day it was too.
I got home from work today, and I got some mails in my mailbox! I got a letter from John, Shelly and Chris.. thanks ^_^!! I got two coupon books, lol... I dunno why I got two, but hey it's my birthday! Oh, and I also got my free hook from 3M. Now I have that hook in the showers. =)
I also got two pairs of free earplugs, but that was on Monyday so it's not really special. *cough*
And I got a second mail.... from Ams! ^_^ I got a card, letter, and an instant lottery card from her. At first I thought, "instant lottery eh? lol.... could be fun." And guess what? I won $36 so far! hehe... Ams is good luck ^o^. *kiss*

A Grrreat way to start the day

I was late for work this morning. Why? Because I woke up at 8:50 AM. lol... here is what happened...
Yesterday I was out with a bunch of people... Mike, Jason, white Kevin, etc. It was Vikas' birthday so we thought we'd go to a pub after work. I probably had 6-7 glasses of beer. I was pretty buzzed... but beer isn't something that would make me drunk. I had a great time, played lots of pool games. Anyway, I came home around 11 PM, had a shower, talked to people on MSN. Went to sleep at 1 AM [bad idea]. Alcohol usually puts me into a deep sleep.... even though the buzz was completely gone by the time I went to sleep, there are still some traces of chemicals in your body [I read that on some Internet article before =P]. So I completely slept through my alarm...
I woke up and felt that it's later than usual. Yep, I was right. I looked at my cell... 8:50 AM!!!! O_O I jumped out of bed, did my business in the washroom very fast, called a taxi. Got to work around 9:12 AM.

I just did the IQ test (link found on Francy's site [http://24mango.blogspot.com/]). I got 133.. so now I have an IQ anywhere from 115 to 144 (according to online tests) lol. I liked the second last question... took me about 2-3 mins to figure it out. That last question I just guessed. It wouldn't have affected the score much anyway I think.
Anyhoo, geeky old me took a screen cap as well! =P
Oh, and I'm working on a new layout finally!

The Grudge - Afterword

listening to: Jolin Tsai - The Moment I Fell In Love
A few of us (co-ops in Ottawa) went to see The Grudge yesterday. We were trying to get Mike scared because he told us he got really freaked out by the trailer. He was drinking one night, and when he went back home he said he saw that girl from The Grudge on his bed, and he threw stuff at her... haha, we told him he was hallucinating from too much alcohol. Anyway, it turned out Mike wasn't the person that was the most scared. Jason was so funny during the movie. All you hear were things like, "Oh sh*t... what the hell was that!", or "GAAAHHHHH!!!!" And he was holding his jacket in front of him to block the screen... hahaha XD. So we had lots of fun. =)
I just realized that I've been in Ottawa for over 2 months now. Wow. I need to start my work report next month... damn.... >_>
Eric wrote me an e-mail today because my birthday is coming up soon. I completely forgot to write him one for his birthday. o_o; oops.

Going to see The Grudge tomorrow with some people. I've seen the Japanese version, and it's pretty scary, and the big screen plus big sound will make it even scarier. heh, this is the kinda movie you're supposed to take a girl on a date to. =D
It's almost November now. Time really goes by fast. =\

Am I a geek or a nerd? Or neither? Lol... seems like people are trying to decide that. Francy has a place to post comments in her poll: http://www.24mango.blogspot.com/.
Nothing too exciting to blog about otherwise. I played one game on bnet solo, and I won! What's so special about this win? It brings me to a 50% record overall (41-41)... hehe, me and peter were 0-7 when we first started AT [we are 5-4 now]. So I'm 36-30 on the solo ladder... but it's not really about wins, it's about having fun and getting cool icons when you win more games. =D

SO apparently there's this thing going on about if I'm a geek or not. Personally I don't think so, but I don't really care really. Nonetheless, here's a little proof that I'm not a geek.
1) Assume that I am a geek
2) But I don't like Star Trek
3) I hate looking at circuit boards (*shrug* CS 251)
4) I don't have geeky hairstyle like Bill Gates
5) Points 2,3,4 contradicts the assumption.
6) Therefore I'm not a geek.
Ams is gonna really call me a geek for this... but hey, can't let my math skills go to waste. =_o heh
But anyway... on something completely different. Grace and her friend were here for the weekend, and Grace's other friend lives here. So the 4 of us went to some really good breakfast place yesterday morning. It's so good, I think I'll bring Ams there when she comes up. we played 90s Trivia later at John's place. It was pretty fun... but I really don't know anything. I did get some questions about technology... hehe. We went to John's church this morning. I thought it was pretty nice, but I'll probably stick with the Alliance church cuz it's more of the service I've grown accustomed to. That and it's closer, and in China Town.

Weekend, Warcraft, Strikers

Grace came over last night around 10:30 pm with her friends Melissa and John. We're gonna go out to have breakfast, that's why I'm up so early.
Last night I played wc3 on bnet with Peter and Jacky. We played AT (Arranged Team) 3v3... haha, we got killed the first game. The second game we did alright, but lost. The third game we kicked ass! =D It takes a bit to get used to, but it's not too bad.
Oh yeah, and yesterday morning I was expecting the strikers to be there, so we'd have to wait an hour before going in to work. I was looking forward to the hour, cuz I wanted to get coffee with Mike and Kevin. hahaha... the strikers weren't there >_>. Apparently they didn't strike cuz the forecast said it was gonna rain or something. Maybe Monday. =P

Strike?!

There were people striking today outside of the building where I work. Some union called a strike.... so lots of government employees are striking. It's about wages. Apparently there's some new contract that the government has.. er... I'm not too sure. Yes, I'm not very well informed. lol
I was talking to Ams on the phone. That's always fun ^_^. I have to get a new phone card. I can't wait until my next paycheck, cuz I still gotta pay back some money on my credit cards. >_>; yeah... =P

Back home for the weekend

It was great being back in Sauga! I was home pretty much all of Friday... had so much sleep the night before, heh. I watched TV since I haven't really watched it in a while. Played some GameCube games.
On Saturday I was out with Ams. We saw Shark Tale. It was a good movie, but too many little kids... and I'm not really too into kids. >_> We walked around so much on Saturday cuz Ams thought the park was close... and um, it wasn't. And then we got to the park, she thought her house was close.... er... >_>; Haha... anyway, it was still fun. BTW, for all the guys, girls like walks for some reason. My co-worker Kevin told me that. hmm.. I guess it's true. =P
Sunday I went to church, saw the ppl I usually see there. Some ppl came back from uni too since it's Thanksgiving. Or maybe they just usually come back for the weekend, I dunno. =\ John wasn't at church cuz his family went on a vacation. I was really tired Sunday for some reason, and I took a nap. lol. We had turkey... oh, actually the turkey was Saturday night, but it's so big we also had it Sunday night. hahaha
So I think I will be stuck in Ottawa until Christmas. I might go back in November since we get Remembrance Day off. I'm still not sure, cuz I'd have to spend more money to go back... and that awful bus ride. >_<; Oh talking about the bus ride, these two brown guys were sitting behind Mike on the bus (on Thursday, when we were going back from Ottawa).... they smelled so bad! haha.. ok, call me mean, but some ppl have serious odour problems. =|
Note to self: Course enrollment on Wednesday!!! Don't forget!!! O_O

Kariya, the long lost sister of Mississauga

I just found out today that Mississauga is the sister/twin city of Kariya, Japan. I've lived in Sauga how long now? and I just learned this today. lol... and the name of that Japanese garden in Sauga, yup you guessed it! the name of it is Kariya Garden. It's to honour the cities' relationship. Cool.

I can't wait to go back home this Thursday! It's been almost a month since I've been away, although time went by pretty fast.
Today at work my manager called in sick. What a day to call in sick too, everyone needed to talk to him! lol... so it ended up being a very unproductive day for us. After work, me, Mike, Kevin, and Mike's friend went to McDonald's for their McDeal meal. Big Xtra!! yay! It's so unhealthy, yet so good.
I came home, played one game of wc3 on bnet, showered, cooked some food for my lunch tomorrow.. and then it's 9 PM. wth O_o. There seriously isn't enough time in a day. Dammit! >_<
BTW, it's so cold here! brrr... it's freezing!!!

I just got some new chinese songs from A-mei, Jolin Tsai, and Jacky Cheung. I got this forum that posts bittorrent links. =P So I've been listening to these songs constantly since I got them. heh
I'm going back home this Thursday. I'm working off Friday and part of Thursday so I can get back earlier. It's gonna be a month since I came to Ottawa. Time went by pretty fast. And I spent all my money the first week I was here. hahaha.... er, gotta learn how to save up. I'm getting my first paycheck this Wednesday, so that's good news.
I talked to Ams on the phone today, it was nice. I'm looking forward to seeing her this weekend. The last time I saw her was when I went up to Waterloo with her, and we put together her desk. I think that was the last time... *thinks*.
Anyway, I was thinking of changing this layout. But I dunno what I should do, so it'll probably be a while before that happens. Oh yeah, and I get to choose my courses on the 13th. Woo! I finally have an earlier course selection date. hahaha, take that you lower year students! =D However, I have no idea what I'm supposed to take. Meh, I'll have it figured out by that time.... I think... =S
