I lost my co-op job today. Apparently the company had expenses that exceeds their revenues, and a recent deal with investors didn’t go through, so they had to let go of over half of the employees. They called a meeting today and told us about this today… Needless to say, a lot of people were mad. And now I don’t have enough money to pay for my tuition. My dad said he’ll be enough to pay for me for now. I’m going to start looking for a grad job now, and will steer clear from start-up companies. >_>
Seriously, this is the WTF. But now I know how people feel when they get let go. At least for me, I’m just a co-op and only have two months left in the term anyway. I feel bad for the full-time employees, now they have to look for a job right away so they can pay for their expenses.

Cheer up, la. Things will get better. It is always a shock when it happens but once things settle in it’s not as bad.

Yeah, I feel better now. It just sucks that this happened on the very last co-op term.
