Writer’s Guild of America Goes on Strike

November 6th, 2007

The Writer’s Guild of America is now on strike. That means there will be no new scripts written for the TV shows in the US. I can’t imagine how TV will be like when they run out of new episodes for the current shows. Re-runs and reality shows… it’s not going to be a pretty sight.

The thing that sucks most is that the second season of Heroes will be cut short, and there’s some speculation that the current season of Heroes might be ending with the episode that is set to air on December 3rd (source: Heroes Fanatic). If that’s the case, I hope the finale won’t feel too rushed. And I hope that the WGA and the networks can work out a new contract before all TV goes to heck.

Talking about Heroes, was that an episode tonight or what? By far the best episode of season 2 so far! And from the preview for next week’s episode, my hopes are getting high. :P

Maybe the strike and bad TV will give people incentive to gett off their butts and get a life. Or even better, recognize how screwed up their lives are because of capitalistm. =P

I doubt people would just stop watching TV. I myself am guilty of watching stupid shows just because nothing else is on. o_o
