Jack and I just bought our tickets to Beerfest 2008. It’s an annual beer festival that is held in Toronto that celebrates beer in Canada. There are more than 200 beers featured and some other junk like prizes and stuff. It runs from Friday August 7 to Sunday August 10. We’re going for the Saturday one. I’m really looking forward to it. Since Jack and I haven’t done much during undergrad, it’s nice to go to festivals and stuff together and with our friends. For those who are interested in going, get your tickets early by buying them online. =)

The area that I live in has really hard water so everytime I wash my hands they dry up instantly. I have to lotion my hands everytime otherwise hy hands start to look like they are 20 years older than they really are. I’ve tried many hand creams and they are usually too greasy, but I finally found out that is the best. It’s called Arnica 2 in 1 Hand & Nail Cream by Yves Rocher.

The regular price for this is $9 (CAD) but they often have it at half price or you can wait patiently like me for their two for one promotion. Seriously, this hand cream is good and worth stocking up on. It also makes my nails nice and shiny. The icing on the cake, in my opinion.

Je suis tired so I’m going to write in points.

1. 1. I suck at updating. Sorry! I’ve been relaxing after Masters terms of hell. I went home after I was done my last paper and I don’t feel like blogging from there for some reason.
2. 2. The wedding was good and the cake was delicious. There were a few awkward moments which I am still trying to figure out. Check my FB for pics.
3. 3. I’m leaving for India in a week. I’ll be gone for two and a half weeks with my family. I’m looking forward to it, despite the fact that it will be monsoon season. UGH!
4. 4. I got a cute new pair of flats. If my camera wasn’t le shit I would post a pic. They were on sale too. Yay! =D
5. 5. Jack got back safely from his Asia trip and he had a great time.

I’m going to a wedding this Saturday for a cousin I haven’t seen since I was a few months old. I don’t know if you can really count that as our last encounter since I was passed out for the most part. The bride is white-American so it should be an interesting wedding. Especially since it’s supposedly in a small rural town…we shall see how things go. I must say that I’m a little apprehensive about encounters with towns people or even other guests at the weddings. I really hate being stared at as some exotic specimen or ridiculed by individuals who still hold outdated racist beliefs. But I will try to keep a positive mind and hope that my family and I will have a pleasant time. I also intend on taking notes for when Jack and I start planning our wedding.
