Hotashi

Jack and I went to see a movie together last night. I think the last time we saw a movie in theatres was for Pirates of the Caribbean 3 when it came out. I don’t remember when that was, but I’m pretty sure it was a while ago. So last night we saw Juno, a movie about a sixteen year old girl (Juno) who gets pregnant and decides to go through her pregnancy and give her child up for adoption rather than aborting it. When people told me that it had a quirky sense of humour, they weren’t kidding. I really enjoyed the movie, and I especially enjoyed my night out with Jack.

When I was looking up information about Juno I came across information about a Korean movie called Jenny, Juno which is about a teenage couple who get pregnant and decide to become parents rather than giving up or aborting their baby. There has been speculation on the similarities between the two films, with some claiming that it is just coincidence. Because of this controversy I want to watch the Korean movie now. Haha!
