Future Racism

Author: Ams

Lately Jack and I have been doing very well. Not much fighting and quite a bit of quality time. We’re looking more into our future since we’re both graduating this Spring and will be *hopefully* starting to work soon. I’m not sure when we’ll get engaged and married, but we’ve been having more serious discussions about it. One concern that I have is racism that we will have to deal with. So far we’ve only gotten looks from people, which used to really bother me. But when I think about what our kids will have to deal with, I feel a deep sense of guilt for creating the situation. I know I can’t control other people’s actions, but knowing that our kids will face racism makes me feel like I’m the one who chose that life for them.

I had a class I had to attend tonight at 8:30pm but since I had stayed up last night to finish an essay I was dead tired. So I decided to take a short nap before the class so that I wouldn’t be falling asleep. Well my alarm clock didn’t go off and I woke up at 9:30 when the phone rang. I hate that feeling when you realize you’ve slept in and your heart stops beating. So then I signed into my e-mail account to send an e-mail saying that I slept in (it was a mandatory class) and then I saw an e-mail saying that the class was cancelled and postponed to next week. All I can say is, thanks God! =D

Joke Time

What smells like poo and sounds like a bell?

DUNG!

Well I thought it was funny. Jack said it to me the other day and I laughed pretty hard. It doesn’t really make sense since dung is poo, but who cares. It’s funny.

P.S. Jack dyed his hair blonde and he looks pretty hot. *fans self*

Well I had a relaxing reading week for the most part. I went home last weekend and spent time with my family. That’s always fun. We played , which is always loads of fun. It was the first time my parents played so Noops and I had to teach them the rules. If you’ve ever played the game you know that the first game you play is really confusing. Well my parents kept forgetting everything that we told them and would make the same mistakes over and over. It was so funny to watch and yell at them. I’m sure Aileen (my sister’s friend who lives with us) thought we were fighting. I can’t wait until we can all play with my extended family. The more people that play, the more fun it is. =D

Who Am I?

I had a strange dream last night. It was like I was in a videogame. I was sliding down a tunnel but I had to constantly shoot my gun behind me because there was a massive amount of enemies behind me. And when I got to the end of the tunnel my gun turned into a spear. I was supposed to find the exit to the end of the level but some of the enemies didn’t get killed. There were about 4 of them and they were real people just sort of…minding their own business. They weren’t attacking me, just looking for the exit too. I knew that I was supposed to get to it before them, but I wasn’t sure where it was. The thought crossed my mind that if I killed them then I would definitely win, but I just couldn’t do it. My conscience kicked in and I knew it was not right. Eventually they beat me to the exit and as I saw them ascending up the escalator one of my professors from university came out of some hallway and started to tell me that I should have killed off the competition because now I will never succeed.
